Well, at least Kit doesn't have that particular cat trait where they present their kill to their owner. Would be difficult to explain to the neighbors why your daughter brought back the corpse of a Skinwalker and is presenting it to you with pride.

Some cats only bring back part of the kill, like just the head. If I'm not horribly uninformed, the cat is trying to provide for and/or teach their human how to hunt... or provide the bit of the kill they think of as the "treat" to thank their human for the rest of their care. Sadly, my mom did not know about any of that, and probably wouldn't have cared even if she did when I was little. By the time I was older, we had pliers or an old winter glove to handle the kill; we "thanked" our cat for the "gift", and when it wasn't looking, chucked it into the bushes. Seemed to keep him happy.

You know, there's some fun story potential there. Maybe only on April Fool's Day, or if you ever do some weird "dark mirror dimension" kind of storyline. ;)
